Improve water quality by removing sediments
By capturing and eliminating larger particles and sediments from the water supply, this pre-filter guarantees cleaner, higher-quality treated water.
Enhance water flow and filtration efficiency through auto-flushing scheduling.
With scheduled auto-flushing, the pre-filter can continuously filter water, employing a proactive approach to prevent clogging and sediment buildup, ensuring the pre-filter operates at peak efficiency while maintaining a consistently higher flow rate.
Monitor and control pressure
Pressure monitoring capabilities continuously measures and tracks the pressure within the filtration system. This real-time data allows operators to stay informed about the condition and performance of the filter.
Does not change the chemistry of water
Pre-filters are primarily designed to remove physical impurities and sediments from water. By not introducing any chemical additives or altering the water's chemical composition, these filters help maintain the inherent chemical quality of the water source.
Protect the appliances and extends the lifespan
Protect downstream equipment, such as pumps, valves, and appliances, from sediment-related damage and clogging. By preventing sediments from entering these components, the risk of equipment failure and costly repairs is reduced.
Cost Savings and Energy Efficiency
The extended filter life, reduced maintenance, and enhanced filtration efficiency of pre-filters lead to cost savings over time, offering a cost-effective investment while ensuring reduced energy consumption through consistent and improved water flow for enhanced energy efficiency.
Environmental Impact
The use of pre-filters can lead to reduced chemical consumption, as fewer chemicals are needed to treat and clean water that is already pre-filtered. This not only saves costs but also reduces the environmental impact of chemical discharges.

KNOW THIS BEFORE INSTALLING
-
1 Ensure that installation is performed by qualified professionals. Verify the completeness of pre-filter accessories and the pre-filter functionality. Please refer to this page to find the list of plumbers near your area.
-
2 Position the pre-filter system near a floor drain so that the sewage pipe can reach it.
-
3 Avoid outdoor installation and keep the pre-filter away from sources of ultraviolet light, heat, fuel, and various chemicals.
-
4 Ensure that all water-related pipelines, joints, and faucets comply with national standards.
-
5 Conduct a thorough post-installation inspection to check for any leaks in all joint positions and assess the pressure gauge readings.
STEPS FOR INSTALLATION
For household water filtration, this product is typically installed at the household total inlet, located behind the water meter. The installation guidelines below use PPR pipes as a reference. In the case of household water pipes connected with metal hard pipes, make additional pipe additions as necessary according to the specific conditions.

INSTALLATION OF WATER PIPELINE
Begin by closing the main water inlet valve, and open the outlet to drain any remaining water from the system.
Weld the other end of the PPR pipe to the branch water valve. Insert a random 1/2" or 3/8" inch outer connector into a 1-inch nut, connect the outer end of the PPR pipe to the 1/2" or 3/8" inch outer connector, place a 1-inch gasket, and screw the 1-inch nut into the outlet of the pre-filter.
Welding the one end of PPR pipe with branch water valve; Insert the random 1/2" or 3/8" outer connector into the 1 inch nut, connect the other end of the PPR pipe to the 1/2" or 3/8" inch outer connector, place the 1 inch gasket and screw the 1 inch nut into the outlet of the pre-filter.
Note: the direction of water flow is consistent with the direction of the arrow on the product. The pipe can be placed at any Angle of 360 degrees.
Ensure that the water flow direction aligns with the arrow on the product, and the pipe can be oriented at any angle within 360 degrees.
Attach the stainless steel braided hose to the flush port.
Slowly open the main water inlet valve, allowing the source water to flow through the pre-filter to all the equipment. Open the outlet valve of household equipment, let water flow out, and then close all the outlets. Monitor the pressure gauge and all joint connections for any potential leaks. It is recommended to run water for 10 minutes to check for leaks after installation (as depicted in Pic.4).

Securing the Pre-filter
Choose the installation location based on the product's dimensions, ensuring a minimum distance of 300mm between the drainage connector and the ground. This arrangement allows for easy disassembly of the transparent housing for strainer cleaning and facilitates efficient sewage discharge. Use a hammer drill to create two holes in the wall. Insert expansion pins into the wall and tap them flush.
Align the mounting plate screw with the hole for the expansion pin. Use two self-tapping screws to fasten the mounting plate securely to the wall. Pay close attention to ensure the screws are securely in place.
Attach the pre-filter to the mounting plate (refer to Pic.3 for guidance).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How frequently should we flush and clean the filter?
It depends on the amount of sediment in your water and determining the ideal flushing interval requires conducting actual tests. But the flush period value of this device can be set from 1-999 hours. While the flush time can be set from 1-999 seconds.
How often should I replace the sediment pre-filter cartridge?
The Watelo PF-50 features a reusable vortex flow strainer. But to ensure the filter maintains optimal performance, it is recommended to clean it at least once a month or as soon as you observe the cartridge becoming filled with sediment or when a significant reduction in water flow is observed.
Is the material used for this product lead-free?
Yes, the Watelo PF-50 is made of stainless steel material, therefore it is lead-free. Also, it has been tested and passed both the Material (Lead-Free) and Pressure test according to NSF/ANSI 42 Standard.
Can this improve water taste and odor?
The main function of the Watelo PF-50 is to remove sediments from your water. However, it does not have the capability to change or alter the chemical composition of your water. For improvement in taste and odor, additional filtration methods and treatment may be necessary.
Can this filter bacteria?
The primary function of the Watelo PF-50 Water Pre-filter is to capture rust, sand, and other larger particles. To eliminate and disinfect bacteria in water, a different water treatment method is required.
